Our Guided Tours

Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Matthew founded On The Front Tours to turn his lifelong interest in military history into immersive experiences on the ground where history happened. His historical expertise has also featured in productions for National Geographic and Discovery Channel.

Military Historian & Guide
Steve is a military historian and specialist in the history of the Second World War. He holds a Master’s in Public History from the Free University of Berlin and has spent more than a decade exploring the city’s complex past. Combining meticulous research with a passion for storytelling, Steve brings history to life and helps guests understand not only what happened, but how the events of the past continue to shape the places we see today.
Historian & Guide
Mark is a historian with a background in History, Politics and Strategic Studies. Originally from England, he has spent many years exploring Berlin’s complex twentieth-century history and developing a deep understanding of the political and military events that shaped the city. His academic background and enthusiasm for history allow him to bring context and detail to the places and stories encountered on our tours.
