For the outdoor portions of the tour, which involve walking through the battlefield landscape, we recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes and dressing for the weather.
Bring layers that can be added or removed as needed, as well as outerwear based on the forecast (e.g. windbreaker, light jacket, hat, umbrella). Bring sun protection items like sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat on sunny days. Since there will be some time spent standing outside listening to the guide, you may want to bring a small umbrella or rain poncho in case of light rain. Bring a backpack or cross-body bag to carry your own water, snacks, camera, etc.
Sturdy shoes and clothing that provide protection from the elements will enhance your comfort and experience on this outdoor tour. Please reach out if you have any other questions about what to wear and bring!
