The discussions may be confronting, which could be disturbing or traumatising for children who are not old enough to understand the historical context fully. The memorial recommends a minimum age of 14 for visitors.

  • Yes, hotel pick-up and drop-off is available. When booking the tour, there is an option in the checkout process to add hotel pick up and drop off for an additional fee of 30€ per booking.

    Eating large food items in the camp is frowned upon but can be eaten in the van to and from the camp.

  • For the outdoor portions of the tour, which involve walking through the Concentration Camp, we recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes and dressing for the weather.

    Bring layers that can be added or removed as needed, as well as outerwear based on the forecast (e.g. windbreaker, light jacket, hat, umbrella). Bring sun protection items like sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat on sunny days. Since there will be some time spent standing outside listening to the guide, you may want to bring a small umbrella or rain poncho in case of light rain. Bring a backpack or cross-body bag to carry your own water, snacks, camera, etc.
